What Fun Learning Chinese is
Fun Learning Chinese (FLC) publishes diagrammed translations of Chinese to English with accompanying audio. These are offered as a source of conversational-style practice with the Chinese language.
These can be accessed by signing up for a FLC Firecracker membership. There is currently one type of membership that can be paid for either monthly or annually.
FLC is not a programmed course of study. Progress with understanding and using the Chinese language is not guaranteed, as it is very dependent on how the learner practices and what other resources are used.
Exactly what is offered and what is free or sold may change. Notification will be given as deemed appropriate for the specific product or situation.
FLC also sells books, as well as individual pdf’s of lesson transcripts. These transcripts will be available for free to members as they are published.
Memberships and Privacy
Members are responsible to maintain their password in confidence. Members agree to not reproduce or share membership material with non-members outside of their immediate and co-habitating family.
FLC collects such information as is necessary to provide the membership. FLC reserves the right to discontinue a membership.
FLC is not responsible for what members say and do during interactive sessions, forums, or any place where people interact with each other. If things said or done are disruptive of other members trying to use FLC or FLC deems them consistently rude, FLC may decide to discontinue such a member’s membership. Beyond that FLC will NOT publish a code of conduct beyond the universal “love your neighbor as yourself.”
Scheduling and Video Technology
There are no regular live sessions. Any live sessions will be at the discretion of FLC. Should there be a live session, please take care to note your time zone as compared to the time zone FLC functions in.
Times are given in Mountain Standard Time (Boise, Idaho, United States). Please confirm what time that will be in your own time zone. As of 2019, we are still subject to daylight savings times adjustments. This means we revert to Standard Time the first full weekend of November, then change to Daylight Savings Time the first full weekend of March.
The live sessions will be held via Zoom.us. To attend you must have internet access and be able to use Zoom (you do not need to have your own account).
Payments
The prices are as follows
- Annual Firecracker: $39.99/year
- Monthly Firecracker: $4.99/month
Prices may change at any time. Due notice will be given to members if such changes are made.
Payments are processed through secure 3rd party payment processors. No payment information is received or kept by FLC.
Payments will be automatically recurring on the time table selected by the member. Members will be given notice of any changes in prices. If the payment method on file stops working, the member will be notified as soon as possible. Membership will be suspended until payment is again processed.
Refunds
Monthly memberships may be cancelled at any time. No refunds will be given for monthly memberships.
Annual memberships may be cancelled at any time. No refunds will be given for annual memberships.
